Better to Get Half, Than to Create a Theif

I have owned countless businesses over many industries and have experienced some degree of employee stealing at nearly every turn. I don’t like it but I have learned to manage it. I am not justifying stealing but if you pay peanuts your setting yourself up for it. Simply put they will justify what they are doing because of their poor wages. So lets start by paying a little more. Next create incentives for them to be honest with the easy areas to pad their pockets. Look for ways to split profits on items or services that are hard to detect. Make your employees want to share the profit with you.
